The Scan Display Alarm (SDA) manufactured by Gil Instruments Co. is delivered in a standard wall mount plastic enclosure measuring 7” x 7” x 4” with a 16 character by 2 line display. This Device is an inexpensive way of monitoring, displaying, and alarming when high limit settings are breached. The SDA monitors from 1 to 24 Type T thermocouples and is powered by either a 120 or 240 volt AC power source. The scan rate of the Scan Master is adjustable from 1 to 4 seconds. Temperature readings can be displayed in degrees of Centigrade or Fahrenheit. The end user can set the device to either scan automatically or in a manual mode. Each Alarm point can be turned on or off and the operator can program each point with alpha and/or numeric characters. The Scan Master features an adjustable temperature alarm from –15 to +230 F with the rate of temperature rise being adjustable from 1 to 99 degrees Fahrenheit or -17.222 to 37.222 Celsius.
Scan Display Alarm (SDA)’s provided from TempuTech have an optional Software package that allows user to monitor their devices and receive alarms in real time from their computer otherwise users have to manually record temperatures from within the plant.
